Early Dec update

Allergies been acting a bit weird lately.  When I wake up, my eyes are usually kinda goopy from allergies.  lately though they have been VERY goopy.  So much that some days my eyes are stuck closed because the goop kinda dries on my lashes and glues my eyelashes together I guess.  It makes dealing with my allergies when I wake up even more of a hassle.

Another thing is my sneezing has been a bit different.  Instead of longer fits with breaks in between, lately alot of times I have been getting only a few sneezes but then maybe 1 min tops before sneezing again, and the whole time in between I feel right on the verge of sneezing.  This can go on for a long time.  I do get that sometimes but it's been happening alot lately.

Goings on and TG

Nothing too different lately.  School and research and such are all coming along fine.  No complaints, other than what I have mentioned before.  Allergies are about typical right now, with some random fluctuations of worse and better.

For TG I was kinda thinking about flying back to WA, but I decided not to.  Flying really wrecks my sinuses and nose and it takes me too long to recover.  I would only be there for a few days, so I would be feeling miserable the whole time.  I'll either spend TG with some friends or my cousin's family.

Nothing else for me to report that I can think of.  Anyone have any comments, suggestions, questions, or anything?

November and closets and people oh my.

I was hoping to get more people reading/commenting/discussing.  Come on people!  :P

School is still going ok, nothing weird or bizarre or too lame, or even exiting to talk about though.

On the allergy-front, I have been having to go through all my stuff in my closets and its a real chore.  The dust and whatever makes my allergies go crazy.  I have been trying to do a bit each day, but I am not able to spend much time each day cause my allergies get too bad and the time that I do spend is mostly spent dealing with my allergies instead of going through my stuff.  :(   I need a maid!

I also have a friend, Mel, who is generally a pretty cool person and she is really nice to me.  BUT she is one of those people who tries to be helpful but ends up being annoying/or making things worse.  Like she has very mild hay fever (she MIGHT need meds a few times in the fall and thats it), but she keeps acting like her allergies are as bad as mine and tries to give me all this advice and/or get me to do things that even though they might be helpful for her is just so not helpful for me.  She gets on my nerves sometimes, but otherwise she is a really cool person so I don't want to be mean to her.

Anyway, I hope I can get my closets done by the end of the weekend and maybe even have time, and feel good enough, to actually have some fun!

Gonna try posting again

Its been a long time since I posted, and I wanted to try again.  I might be a bit different with it.  It will be sporadic, probably not very long posts and a bit more general in the topics I post about.  I met a few new people online who seem really cool, so hopefully they start reading this too :)

School is going well.  I am enjoying the research I am helping out with.  There is one other assistant who is a jerk to me and tries to get me in trouble, but the professor in charge is a really cool guy and there is really nothing to get me in trouble over so its just an annoyance.

This fall was probably the worst season ever for my allergies!  I knew I was very allergic to ragweed, but there isn't much of it around Seattle, but OMG there are tons of it out here on the east coast!  If I didn't know any better I would have thought I had ragweed plants stuck up my nose!  Ugh.  I hope next fall isn't as bad.

This weekend I have had a cold/flu/something so I have been feeling really icky and had to miss parties :(  I was hoping I would be better by tomorrow but I think its going into my chest so I'll be sick for at least a few more days.  bleah!

Please post comments, questions, discussions, etc!

Been a long time

Sorry I haven't posted in a long time.  I have been pretty busy in the Anatomy program.  I am not sure how often I will have time to think about what to post and to post it.

I have something to think about and even though I don't have too many people reading this, I was hoping for opinions anyway.

I have an opportunity that might be very helpful to me.  It is somewhat research-related and will fill a good chunk of my research time requirements, it will waive/fill some of my teaching assistant requirements and it will even give me a little bit of money.  If things go well, it may even end up helping some people.  The downside is that most of the research time isn't directly reated to what I am studying, and I'll end up unavoidably being exposed to things I'm allergic to a good chunk of the time.

I am weighing the pros and cons, so I'd like any opinions people might have.  Sorry I am being so vague about what it is but I'm not allowed to give out specifics.

Thanks :)
